Summary: Not a happy cook 2008-12-19
Comment: Very disappointed in this product. First of all a piece snapped off the lid one of the first times I used it and second of all, there is no way to control where your food goes. It just shoots out wherever, even if a bowl is placed underneath.

Comment: Black and Decker is an innovative corporation that strives to improve on all machines. The company finds new and better ways and then markets products. I am glad to have Black and Decker in the worldB&D FP1445-WT/FOOD PROC/450W/8CUP/2SPD/. It gives poor people a chance at having some products only for the rich people. Excellent product and excellent price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment: This food processor turned my potatoes to mush and it didn't do a good job chopping nuts or vegetables. The chute leaks food even though there is a guard there. Lastly, the cover/top is extremely hard to lock (and without this, you can't run the machine).

Comment: This product is great for everyday chopping and food prep tasks. My old chopper had a very small food bowl. This one is huge and holds 8 cups. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Summary: Unfortunate design 2007-09-20
Comment: This food processor is a mistake. Theoretically, you place a plastic disk in the bowl to keep your food from coming out of the chute. The only problem is that once your food is chopped small enough to escape, IT DOES - all over your kitchen counter. I will never again purchase anything with a side spout.
