Amazon.com Review
With an 8-cup work bowl and a built-in continuous-flow chute for slicing or shredding foods like cabbage into a separate bowl, this 350-watt food processor is versatile as well as inexpensive. It's great for a small household or an occasional cook who wants the convenience of food processing but doesn't need a big, powerful machine. With its stainless-steel chopping blade and reversible slicing/shredding disc, the processor does everything its more powerful counterparts do: slices, shreds, chops, mixes, and minces. It has two speeds and a pulse control, and all removable parts are dishwasher-safe. To the top of its feed tube, the processor measures 13 inches high, and it's 9 inches wide, including the work bowl's handle, and 16 inches deep, including the continuous-flow chute on top the work bowl. The processor comes with a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Summary: You get what you pay for, folks! 2010-08-27
Comment: I purchased this machine with trepidation at cost vs. quality. I have been using it for over a year. It is noisy. The last 1/2 inch of whatever your chopping will likely get stuck spinning between the lid and the cutter blade. Other than that...it does the job pretty darn well and saved me hundreds of dollars over Cuisinart. If you rinse immediatly after use -- no staining. As far as complaints of locking mechanisms snapping off -- I believe that to be user error. If the lid is not PROPERLY AFFIXED, you WILL snap off locking mechanisms. If used properly, you will have no problems with it. You get what you pay for. We all know if we spend 10x less on a product, it's going to be slightly more difficult to use and of lower quality. For me, it does the job and saved me big bucks. I am satisfied with it.

Summary: Don't get it, spend more for a better processor! 2009-11-21
Comment: I wanted an inexpensive food processor that I could use occasionally for preparing fruits and other foods for storage. So I got this one. I liked the thought of having the food dispense into a separet bowl. That is acutally my biggest problem with this things. If you don't want the food to come out the chut well TO BAD because it does anyway! Its very frustrating! Also it does smell like something burning when you turn it one. This was a huge waste of money even though it didn't cost much.... I guess the saying holds true with this food processor... you get what you pay for!

Summary: Dissapointment! 2009-11-06
Comment: For years we've used a small but effective B&D food processor. When it finally went to the big repair shop in the sky, B&D had earned our Brand Loyalty. So we purchased the Q&E. BIG MISTAKE!! It was noisy, flung liquids, put more veggies on the counter than in the measuring cup. It seemed I was spending as much time unjamming the &!*%!!! thing as I was trying to get items chopped. If there was one plus, it was still having the origional box, packing materials, and reciept.....guess where it's going!

Summary: A very unsafe food processor 2009-08-23
Comment: As I type this - it's with one hand and let me explain why: First, can someone please explain to me why this food processor DOESN'T have a locking mechanism for the blade? Is this how all food processors are? I got this 50% off from a department store and now I see why. During the second use of this last week, I was making some crab dip before the small dinner party I was hosting. I was emptying out the bowl and stupidly thought the blade was locked in. As the blade started to fall out, I attempted to push back the very top of the plastic (blade is at the bottom - you can easily see it on the picture on this website). WELL DON'T DO THIS. I am not a complete idiot but in that instant I tried to avoid an accident and I was really wrong. I then sliced and deeply cut my finger - should have gotten stitches but oh well. What an awful evening. So I've been all bandaged up and can only type with one hand :(
Unfortunately, I cannot review about the quality of the food processor during its uses of actually "processing food" - but a safety concern should be enough for everyone!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Comment: Bowl made of thin plastic which gradually cracks out. Also leakage problems. Wouldn't buy again.
