If you need a no-nonsense food processor, the Braun K650 Combi Max is the way to go. You are in complete control of your food preparation with this machine, an excellent feature when it comes to choosing which speed is best for what ingredient. Its powerful 600 watt motor makes chopping, slicing and shredding as simple as pressing a button...which is exactly what you have to do. You can modify this electronically controlled processor's speed to adapt to your needs, whether you require cutting, peeling or slicing. The variable speed function lets you decide what to do with your food, and includes a pulse button for an extra burst of power. Also included with this processor, a plastic universal bowl (sealed to prevent leakage), a cream propeller whipping tool, stainless steel shredding disc and slicing disc, all of which are dishwasher safe. The Braun K650 Combi Max works with an electronic overload protection dual safety system making it safe, and though a powerful machine, it's ultra silent. There's nothing left to do but enjoy this machine.

Through the years I have killed 4 food processors, 2 Kitchenaid's 2 Cuisinart's. Figured it was time to try a new brand. I received the Braun today, it did everything well that I tried today except for slicing salami it completely failed at that (but I don't slice salami very often so no big deal). Today I chopped some cilantro, onion & garlic for some guacamole, I then added my avocado and made some nice chunky guacamole. Did a great job & didn't need to keep opening the lid to push the ingredients down to process. I used the fine shredder attachment to shred cheddar cheese. It did a very good job, the speed control worked well for this, I had a lot less waste using the Braun, with other machines a lot of cheese would get stuck on the top and not shred and turn into a gooey mess, I only had a small amount of cheese that didn't shred and what was left was still firm and usable. My 27 year old Cuisinart DLC8 finally died. So, I bought its replacement and it was a HUGE disappointment. I returned it and lived without for four months. But the holiday baking season was approaching so I started reading everything I could and found the Braun. I wanted a couple of extra attachments that required an out-of-stock insert. So, I called the super friendly and helpful folks at Duddy's Electronics and found out they had the food processor and every attachment it could ever need for a great price. It arrived quickly and was packed well.

The footprint is a little larger than my old machine but I love the variable speed and it really is quiet. I used attachments to make lots of cookie recipes and it even handled my Christmas poppyseed pastry recipe that included 6 cups of flour and six eggs! I was tempting fate a bit with this recipe but it worked just fine. I did need to get a small bin to hold all the wonderful attachments.

This is a wonderful food processor! I have owned my current processor since 1987 that I bought from another company and it still works. The only reason I purchased a new one is I wanted one with a larger bowl capacity and it had to have the different speed selections. This one from Braun has all the features I was looking for and I have used it several times since I received it with great satisfaction. Anyone looking for a nice size bowl capacity with different speeds and different blades for all kinds of food prep should look into this processor.
