Amazon.com Review
A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough; slicing; chopping; shredding cheese, vegetables, and meat; mincing garlic and parsley; mixing batters; and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Custom food processor comes with a 14-cup work bowl; five basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading; and also features two feed-tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins

Summary: Wonderful and quiet 2010-08-09
Comment: I spent a lot of time researching food processors before I bought this one (due to the price...ouch). I definitely made the correct decision. I'm a vegetarian, so I chop a lot of fruits and veggies every day. This machine is very powerful and never has a problem cutting through anything I put in it. It is also very very quiet. My son and his fiance came over the other day to make relish. They are in love with it too and plan to "steal" it when my back is turned. Another benefit is that the old 7cup food processor blades (that you can get on ebay) fit perfectly. I got the full set and can now cut things as thin as tissue paper, into thick slices, or french fries. Lastly, it handles bread dough very well (although I prefer doing bread dough by hand or by bread machine.)

Summary: Love this Cuisinart 2010-08-03
Comment: Started using it as soon as it came out of the box. Making pickles is a snap. Wish the
insert to push the cucumbers down was a little larger but I sliced 20 cucumbers in about
5 minutes - made cold slaw in short order. So am very happy to have this machine, esp.
because I am a big gardener and the time saved with this is worth every penny I spent
buying it.

Comment: Not recommended. Hard to use and has already developed a crack in the 1st year.

Summary: Disappointed 2010-07-22
Comment: Looks nice on the counter but performance is hit or miss. Does ok with smoothies, but can take forever to puree & blend ingredients for sauces. I gave it to the Women's shelter and bought an Oster.
