Also, the wide-mouth feed tube gobbles up whole fruits and vegetables, which means less prep work. However, I found it a tad difficult to do with all the different blades, codes, etc. Therefore, once I had completed my own shopping and comparisons, I thought it might be helpful for anyone else in the same situation if I posted my own comparisons here. I'll start by saying I decided to order the Cuisinart Limited Edition Metal 14 cup food processor on Amazon. I found it to be the best value for my own needs and it was cheaper here than anywhere else I looked as of the time of my review. I chose Cuisinart because it's known to be the best but what made me decide on the limited edition may not be what you would want...this way you can compare and decide. I chose a 14 cup because I love soups and big batches of dough...Read more 30 of 31 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Cuisinart DLC-2014CHB PowerPrep Plus 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen) I bought the Cuisinart DLC-2024CHB/14 cup processor. Love it. The power is impressive and the holding tank is large enough. I can soups, etc. and this makes it very nice to be able to chop all the vegetables in the same bowl. I change the blade for shredding or larger slicing and don't have to empty the bowl as the bowl size is great. I made a bunch of marinara sauce and ground the fennel seeds in it; however, that discolored the plastic holding bowl---haven't tried other ways to clean it yet--just hand washing. I use it enough to leave it out on the counter--it is a little heavy. 22 of 23 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Cuisinart DLC-2014CHB PowerPrep Plus 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless (Kitchen) When my 30-year-old Cuisinart DLC finally died I wanted to find a reliable replacement. At first I was intrigued by the KitchenAid KFP750, but too many customer reviews complained that the bowl didn't have enough capacity for liquids. Since I often use my food processor to make soup, this was a big negative. I bought the Cuisinart DLC-2014 PowerPrep and have been extremely happy with it. No liquid overflow, and the same high-quality slicing, chopping etc that I have come to expect from Cuisinart. Besides, the streamlined design looks great! |
