Summary: Upgraded chopper 2010-07-01
Comment: The Elite line of Cuisinart processors is quite an improvement over the previous generation models. The locking blade feature alone makes an upgrade to the Elite worthwhile. Moving quickly in a busy kitchen makes safety an important requirement, and the locking blade makes pouring a much safer and faster procedure than in previous models. As always, Cusinart is only surpassed by itself.

Summary: Good value and utility for a basic food processor 2010-05-10
Comment: I originally saw this product via a Williams-Sonoma ad, but it turns out Amazon's price was even cheaper than their advertised sales price. For someone who isn't an expert chef willing to spend a lot on kitchen products, but still enjoys time in the kitchen, this is a fantastic product at a good price. It's easy to store, but still has a decent cup/storage size for food. It's best for small batches or small dishes; if you're looking for something to handle larger jobs, you may want to upgrade to a larger capacity processor. But for most things that require a food processor, this does the trick. The functions are simple and basically all you need in a food processor. I've used this for homemade tomato sauces, dips and also for chopping vegetables or making breadcrumbs. It's easy to clean, easy to store, and easy to use. Plus, the diecast metal finish looks great. The product is well made and durable.

Comment: I had a hard time determing the difference between this product and a small four cup processor. I read reviews and went with this. Only used it a couple of times but it does exactly what I want. Happy, happy.

Summary: Cutting Edge (Really) 2010-03-09
Comment: I'm one of those who agonizes over appliance purchases...I read epinions and Amazon reviews and any other specs and faqs I can find. This was not a major purchase (in terms of outlay of money), but I wanted something a)easy to assemble, b)easy to use, c)that does what it is supposed to do, and d)that is easy to clean and put away. This little unit does all that. It is just right for small jobs, and cuts quickly. There is a small learning curve -- for me, anyway -- I've had to learn when to use "pulse" as opposed to a steady "chop" to prevent ingredients from being ground too small.
