Amazon.com Review
With a 350-watt motor and a 7-cup bowl, this inexpensive tool puts a family-size food-processor's versatility and ease into a cook's hands at a bargain price. The processor's S-shaped stainless-steel blade kneads bread dough and chops and minces a variety of foods, from nuts to meat to cheese to vegetables and fruits. The reversible stainless-steel disc blade slices and shreds fruits and vegetables, and, with two speeds to choose from and a pulse control, the processor offers classic flexibility for fine work. Beginners will appreciate the control panel's chart, which lists the appropriate blades and speeds for specific tasks. The processor measures 12-1/2 by 8-1/4 by 7 inches and sits on rubber feet to prevent skidding. The bowl, cover, and blades are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Summary: Good machine! Nice compact size! 2010-02-12
Comment: My wife says she love this processor very much. She is in the plans to do some canning of caribean cooking paste & this machine cuts her prep time in half.

Summary: It's fine if you don't use it much........ 2009-12-02
Comment: I didn't purchase mine at Amazon, but since I'm now looking for a new food processor (and it came up), I thought I'd tell you the good the bad and the ugly about this machine. Yes the price is low and there is a reason for that. The machine comes with several blades and that is swell, however your machine is not strong enough to do much in it. I have a bread recipe that makes 1 loaf, this machine will do it, however, it smells like the machine is on fire when I attempt to do so. The dough ends up inside the metal blade somehow and that is a huge pain to try to clean. I also use quite a bit of cheese and sometimes, I don't have the time to shread it myself. This handy-dandy food processor can grate part of the cheese and the other part ends up sticking to the top of the shreader blade. I end up getting a little shreaded cheese (Yes, I sliced the cheese to make it easier on the processor)and the rest is just a liquified version of cheese. The shreader blade is alot of work to get clean after that. It's fine for someone who doesn't use it much, provided that the items you are attempting to process are pre-chopped by hand first. This kind of defeats the purpose of a food processor in my book. So, my friends, I'm moving on to something bigger, badder and better!

Comment: I have had this for 1.5 years, and the plastic spindle has cracked in many places. I can't even grate cheese now. Will be moving to something made out of less plastic.

Comment: I have an older model of this food processor. Let me tell you, one time after using it a screw in the lid stripped itself out while powered on and ruined the lid. I called the company and was greeted by a horrendously incompetent worker who refused to help me. I told her it was a wedding gift at the beginning of the conversation.
At the end of the conversation, when she refused to help me in any way, I told her that I will never buy Hamilton Beach again. "I thought you said it was a gift anyway?" was her response.
Mine? "I'm in my twenties. Do you really think this is going to be the last appliance I ever own?"
I HAVE NOT bought any of their products since, and if someone doesn't know better and buys when for me, I promptly return it to the store for a different brand. Even if I like the layout or color of the HB better!
(By the way--did try again after that, thinking maybe I got a crabby CS rep--the next one was equally as unhelpful and rude!)
Hamilton Beach=Two Thumbs WAY Down!
