This inexpensive attachment doubles the utility of any Hamilton Beach blender, with the exception of one- and two-speed blenders, for which the attachment is not suitable. Fitting the attachment onto a blender's base and drawing on the base's whirring power creates a fully functional, 3-cup food processor. The attachment's S-shaped blade chops and minces vegetables, fruits, meats, herbs, nuts, coffee beans, chocolate, and bread. A reversible disc blade slices on one side and shreds on the other--perfect for making coleslaw and converting a hunk of Parmesan into sprinkling size. Pour oil into a receptacle on the cover, and it will stream through a hole during processing to make mayonnaise, aioli, and other emulsified dressings and sauces. The bowl, cover, and blades are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Comment: This is a very great way to grind and chop food. It is also very useful in making cosmetics and grinding herbs, coffee, cheese, meats and was as advertised. No matter what your needs are it is the prefect attachment to the Hamilton Beach Blender. Thanks

Comment: For small jobs when you don't want to get out the heavy stuff this works just fine. Small enough to leave out and handy enough to do most jobs. I use mine at least once a week and don't worry about if it can do the job I ask of it.

Comment: Great little attachment for my Hamilton Beach Blender. Just the right size for food processing jobs for my small family. Easy to clean. Does an excellent job in chopping, shredding, grating, etc. I should have gotten this a long time ago.

Summary: Half-Blender & Half-food Processor 2001-08-15
Comment: Do you remember the Chevrolet El Camino and the Ford Ranchero? These vehicles combined a sedan's front seat with an open bed, in effect, half-car and half-pickup truck. In fact, they were less than half-car, and less than half-truck, failing on both counts except as convenient vehicles for very limited uses. The HB 70900 is similar: it tries to make a blender into half-blender and half-processor. As a blender, the blender is fine; as a food processor, it fails to reach the mark. We're just gonna buy a full-fledged food processor and use the 70900 as a convenience appliance for limited purposes.

Comment: My last food processor from Hamilton Beach lasted 20 years, so I decided since I have their blender as well, I'd purchase just the food processor attachment to add to my blender. The product fits and does the job, but I'm not happy with how insecurely it sits on the blender. Maybe it secures better on other models, but my model, Number 52600 is not the case. If this could be improved upon, you couldn't ask for a better machine. Also, I was dissapointed that my french fry cutter from the other Hamilton Beach food processor will not work with this newer version. All in all, it's not a bad product, just not what I'd hoped for.
