I wanted this blade for slicing thicker slices than the blades that came with my processor. This one filled the bill perfectly! I love my KitchenAid Food Processor! This blade cuts perfect slices each and everytime.

I contemplated for a while between machines before purchasing this one. I absolutely love it. It's got a lot of power and is very quite. I make tollhouse cookies in no time. The two size bowls are a great feature. I purchased an additional 6mm slicer for it. The only two things I wish were different: 1) the short center circle for the large bowl--could get messy if not careful when pureeing something; 2) I wish it came with the two part pusher like the 12-cup does. But the price is right and I enjoying using it.
