Amazon.com Review
Freshly squeeze your own 100% natural citrus fruit juice and increase the versatility of your food processor with this citrus juicer by KitchenAid. Designed to fit 9-cup and 12-cup KitchenAid food processors, this attachment quickly and efficiently juices all types of citrus fruits. Simply hold the fruit cut side down over the spinning reamer. With a firm grip, press fruit onto reamer and squeeze in the sides to extract all juice. This citrus juicer attachment is much easier to store than a regular juicer--the reamer and basket are the size of a regular cereal bowl. --Jane DePaolo

Customer Rating: 5 Star
Summary: Juicing made easy 2006-08-01
Comment: Excellent juicer. Concentrate when you are using it so you won't bruise your fingertips.

Summary: Works fine, but be careful 2005-11-29
Comment: The citrus juicer is excellent -- quick and efficient, although it does allow just a little pulp to come through. Be sure to place the fruit evenly on the cone.

My citrus press came with my 11-cup food processor and it came with a lever arm that protects your fingers. Occasionally, I use mine without the arm and sometimes I hurt my fingers, sometimes not. You have to be careful and pay attention to what you are doing. This beats a separate appliance any day and it is dishwasher safe.

If you buy the attahcment from the Kitchenaid site, you have a choice in buying one with or without the lever arm. The lever arm is $10 more, but I think it is worth it.

Summary: Love It!!! 2005-07-28
Comment: After reading all the negative reviews I had serious doubts about buying this juicer but I did it anyways. I think it's wonderful. I didn't have any of the problems that were stated in other reviews. I simply cut my lemons in half and pulsed the food processor and in no time I had enough juice. I didn't hit the reamer with my fingers at all. Highly recommended!!!

Summary: Use according to instructions! 2003-08-29
Comment: I had read a number of negative reviews about this product that had me a little concerned. I bought it anyway. My advice is: follow the instructions that come with the device if you do not want to get your fingers caught on the reamer. When preparing the fruit, be sure to only cut off the tip and do not try to cut the fruit in half. You also need to maintain a firm grasp on the fruit as you are pressing it over the reamer. When I did this, the juicer not only worked well, but I also got a 'fruit cup' from the shell that I was able to fill with ice cream and serve!

Summary: will rip the skin off your fingers if you are not careful 2003-07-14
Comment: This attachment is designed to turn your powerful KitchenAid food processor into a citrus juicer. The word powerful defines the most important problem and safety issue with this product: unlike other citrus juicers where the core will spin at a moderate speed upon the user pressing down, this will power into action as you press the "pulse" button on the machine and then spin so fast that it is very tricky to hold on to the citrus fruit, especially smaller ones like lemons and limes. If you slip, your fingers can get badly scraped by exposure to the spinning core. Did that twice and threw the thing out. It is not worth it! There are many great attachments for the KitchenAid Processor, this is NOT one of them. Don't waste your money!
