I've put this chopster through over nine years of abuse and it's still going strong! I use it at least 2-3 times a week to chop carrots, celery, peppers, onions, nuts...all kinds of stuff (not meat or ice. Ya need a machine designed for that).

I often bang this little guy on the counter pretty hard to knock the veggies down where the blade can chop em to tiny bits (I tend to over-stuff it because I'm in a hurry and this is a 1.5 cup machine). I'm am NOT gentle with it but this thing is tough! With the size in mind, choose a bigger chopper-upper if you regularly need large quantities of chopped stuff!

The Toastmaster chopster is so handy; easy to operate, clean and store. I paid about $10. Well worth it!
I came to Amazon hoping to find four of these to give to my daughters. Figured I should write a review and spread the joys of owning the Toastmaster Chopster!

The Toastmaster chopster 1122 is a fine little machine, but the plastic lid is too flimsy and breaks easily making the machine inoperable. Now I can't find replacement lids, so will have to throw away the whole machine. Hopefully, Toastmaster will redesign and learn from this.
